In this video, the architect of Sendai Mediatheque, Toyō Itō was highlighted. Throughout the video functionality, in both physical and metaphorical aspects, were addressed. A striking feature about the Sendai Mediatheque mentioned in the video was the concept of openness. As the camera panned around the building, in almost every floor, there all no walls. Views span from one end to the other, making the multi-purpose space so versatile yet so coherent with one another.
